The Absolutely Awesome Book on C# and .NET - Early Access FAQ

Update (31st January, 2019). This eBook has been released, so most of the FAQ is not relevant now.

Book publishing is a long process. The Early Access Program helps us deliver this eBook to you chapter-by-chapter and helps you learn about hot new concepts, today!

How are eBooks in the Early Access program delivered?

Once you pre-order an eBook, we will be emailing you a personal DropBox folder link within 24 hours of your purchase. We will be adding chapters to this folder as and when they are authored, edited and updated. You DO NOT NEED to have DropBox installed on your system in order to access these files.

Once the eBook is ready, we will be adding the final PDF, ePub, mobi and source code (if any) to this folder.

Here's a tentative schedule for receiving the chapters:

  • 13th December - Chapters 1 to 5 (Delivered)
  • 18th December - Chapters 6 to 12 (Delivered)
  • 21st December - Chapters 13 to 17 (Delivered)
  • 24th December - Chapters 18 to 22 (Delivered)
  • 28th December - Chapters 23 to 30 (Delivered)
  • 7th January - Chapters 31 to 45 (Delivered)
  • 14th January - Chapters 46 to 55 (Delivered)
  • 21st January - Chapters 56 to 75 (Delivered)
  • 31st January - Entire book in PDF, ePub and Mobi (Kindle).

How will I know once new chapters are ready for access?

If you have DropBox installed, you will get notifications whenever new chapters are added to your folder. In case you do not have DropBox installed on your system, please take a note of the schedule mentioned above. We will also be sending an update once every fortnight with a list of chapters that were added during the week.

In the Early access program, will I get all the chapters in all the formats i.e. PDF, ePub and Mobi?

You will receive the PDF version of the chapters first. The ePUB and Mobi versions will be delivered on the 31st of January.

What will I receive once the Final eBook is released?

Once the eBook is ready, you will be receiving the final PDF, ePub and mobi versions of the eBook. We will also be adding source code (if any) to Github.

How soon can I expect the Final eBook?

We are aiming to release the final eBook by January 31st, 2019. However, you will continue to receive the eBook chapter-by- chapter, starting early December 2018. Please check the schedule above.

Any plans of a Hard Copy?

None so far. Publishing and distributing a hard copy is expensive and we are aiming to create cost-effective learning solutions for our readers. This is where eBooks fit best.

Can the publishing date be delayed or the eBook cancelled?

99% there won't be any delay nor cancellations. An unedited draft of the eBook is already ready with us and we are in the process of editing, updating and designing the book now. However, there could be personal delays or acts of God that are beyond our control. In such cases, you will be duly notified.

I pre-ordered the eBook 24 hours ago but have not yet received the DropBox link?

If the DropBox link has not reached you within 24 hrs, please check your junk mail to make sure our emails are not getting marked as spam. Alternatively use the Contact Page and a team member will help you out.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

In case you haven't received the DropBox folder link within 24 hours or haven't heard from us after contacting Customer Service within the stipulated time (Working days - Monday to Saturday), you can opt for a refund by sending us the transaction details of your purchase. We will refund the amount within 7 working days.
