You got to know the basics of  jquery before using this book. The author has provided some useful links in AppendixB of this book to get you started. Lots of neat tips and ideas. The book is well-written, concise and can be used as a reference.

I wish there were a chapter on asp.net ajax too.

Overall I strongly recommend this book to everyone.

Just tried a sample. (http://www.dotnetcurry.com/ASPNETandjQuery/Section1-TextBox/R9-MaximumCharactersinTextBox.aspx). It handles only key events. Dint handle other events. Is it meant for it?
Comment posted by Keith on Saturday, November 07, 2009 4:38 AM
@Fayaz-In the ebook, the author has mentioned a line that says:
"Check Recipe 3 to see how to use bind() to handle mouse paste scenario. I guess that's what you are looking out for"

Great for anyone who knows jQuery and ASP.NET and has not yet integrated the two together. I would recommend getting up to speed on jQuery before using this book. The book is written with the assumption that the reader knows JQuery.

Very helpful

Great book. Love the no nonsense approach. All I hope for is to find the same sort of book for ASP.NET Ajax. I love this nononse example approach.

This is a great book. Not only does it contain code to solve issues (or challenges as the author puts it), it also contains a live demo to see the code in action. Very thoughtful.
